This area is considered to be the safest and most beautiful residential area in the city. We are close to the two major retail shopping malls and even closer to small shops, restaurants and golf courses.

This elegant establishment was one of the first guest houses in Pretoria. Over the years it has been selected by heads of state, diplomats and business men as their residence of choice in South Africa.

In 1997, the owners left South Africa to go overseas; for the next nine years, the guest house became the home to three successive Ambassadors from Ireland to the republic of South Africa. It remained the Irish Ambassador’s residence until February, of 2006 when the owners returned to Pretoria. After returning, they proceeded to update the existing residence. Now all the latest technology has been incorporated as well as the most modern fittings for your comfort and convenience. The guest house has been upgraded to a boutique hotel.

Our very luxurious residence has all the grace and style of a grand, but unpretentious manor home or inn. It has every modern amenity one could hope for. As the house was built as a private home, there are a variety of sizes and shapes to both the guest rooms and relaxation areas. The exterior has an exquisite private swimming pool. It is long enough to do laps for the health conscious or quiet enough to just relax on deck chairs with a cocktail. This is the ideal setting for the more indulgent.

For business functions we have projectors, white boards and all the necessary projection equipment to make your conference world-class.

THE IDEAL WEDDING VENUE

Capital House can provide the bride with a complete fantasy wedding. We have several different sites on our property for the ceremony or reception. We have exquisite cutlery and linen or casual crockery, depending on the wishes of the couple. We have a fine kitchen with outside caterers available on request.

Our honeymoon suite is secluded among the trees, on the top storey of the house. It has a super-king sized canopy bed and a fairytale environment among the trees. The twin showers in the large marble bathroom are great fun. Outdoors is a massive, custom bath. It is built for 2 had has a wide ledge for flowers and candles. The bath is only a short walk from our romantic gazebo.
